My boyfriend and I are going away on a diving trip to Tioman for his birthday and I plan to get him a camera. Which would you recommend? – Kelly S., 23 Print

Well, we tried out this particular camera when we first got it and it was splendid! Check out the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT2 – a powerful camera that’s made for outdoor use. The 14.1-megapixel camera not only allows you to record high definition videos, it is also waterproof (up to 10m), shock-proof (up to 2m), freeze-proof (up to –10°C degrees) and dust-proof!

What’s more, it has 28mm wide-angle lens with a 4.6x optical zoom. You can get it for RM1,499. Have fun!

Available in blue and silver too.

What say you?

What do you usually look for when buying a digital camera (price, specifications, design, etc)?

Is your boyfriend an avid camera fan? If so, he might want a DSLR. Nikon and Canon have great options. If he's just starting out to be a more professional photographer, a Nikon D3000 or D5000 or D90 would be the perfect choice.
