Ask your boyfriend for ideas such as what his dad’s favourite books, food, movies or  hobbies are and/or what he does for a living. By knowing a lil’ more about his dad, you would have some idea of what to get him. Basic gifts range from a tie-pin, a tie, a bottle of his favourite wine, a key holder, books on topics that interest him, sporting gear (if he plays a sport), a mini tool box, and etc.  

For example if his dad plays golf, you could get him a golf cap or if he’s a big fan of Manchester United, football memorabilia works fine. Whatever you decide, make it a reasonably priced gift-nothing too much or over the top such as a massage chair or a Doberman to guard his house!
