Some people prefer to work with some music on as it lightens the mood and they can keep out distractions. So, if your colleagues are doing it and the bosses seem fine with the practice, then it should be okay. However, since you’re new, it would probably be best to keep your eyes and ears open, at least until you’re a few months in. You’ll be surprised at how much you can learn.
